Fire Shoots Through Fallston Burger King

Multiple fire companies responded to the Sunday morning blaze.

A blaze at Burger King drew several fire companies to Fallston Sunday morning, officials said.

At 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, firefighters were called to the fast food restaurant in the 300 block of Mountain Road, where they found heavy black smoke coming from the roof, according to Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.

Crews from Kingsville, Bel Air and Joppa-Magnolia also responded to the one-alarm fire, the Fallston company reported.

The blaze started in the kitchen hood and extended into the roof of the restaurant, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

Firefighters contained the blaze to the ductwork around the exhaust and the roof area near the exhaust opening, according to the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.

By 9:02 a.m., the fire was declared under control, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association, which reported nobody was injured.

The fire marshal, health department and BGE officials responded to the scene, where the fire marshal was working to determine the cause and origin of the fire as well as the amount of damage, the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company reported.
