Firefighters from 2 Counties Battled Blaze in Fallston

Harford and Baltimore firefighters worked to bring a fire under control Friday afternoon.

UPDATE (5:10 p.m.)—After a fire broke out in Fallston Friday afternoon, crews from two counties helped extinguish it, according to a Harford County public safety official.

At approximately 2 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a report of a detached garage fire on the 800 block of Reckord Road in Fallston, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association spokesman Rich Gardiner said.

According to Gardiner, the garage was "fully involved," or engulfed by flames.

Crews from Fallston, Kingsville, Bel Air, Jarrettsville and Long Green helped extinguish the blaze, which Gardiner said was under control within 30 minutes.

He said there were no injuries, and the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
