Forest Hill Fire Displaces 7

No injuries were reported following the fire.

An early morning fire in Forest Hill left five adults and two children without a home Tuesday.

Before 5 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 2400 block of Dixie Lane in response to a fire, according to , spokesman for .

When fire personnel arrived, the blaze had engulfed the building, according to Gardiner. Firefighters shifted to working defensively and strictly outside the building based on the extent of the fire.

While emergency responders initially believed someone was trapped inside the building, Gardiner said they soon learned that was not the case.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire in the two-and-a-half-story residential home, Gardiner said.

The fire displaced five adults and two children, Gardiner said.

Most fire personnel had cleared the scene by 8:30 a.m. and crews were expected to arrive to bulldoze the property, according to Gardiner.
