Forest Hill Man Killed After Tree Branch Falls on Vehicle
The passenger was injured, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.
A Forest Hill man was killed after a large branch fell from a tree onto power lines and then on his vehicle in Glen Arm Friday night, according to Baltimore County police.
At 11:10 p.m. on Friday, first responders were called to the 13100 block of Dulaney Valley Road for a motor vehicle incident where someone was injured, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.
James Walter Power, 60, of the 1700 block of Pleasantville Road in Forest Hill, was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Passenger Timothy Carroll Power, 18, of the same address, was also taken to St. Joseph for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Investigators determined that Power's 2007 Hyundai Sonata had been traveling north on Dulaney Valley Road when a large branch broke off a tree, fell onto power lines and hit the vehicle, police said.
The Baltimore County Police Department's crash team is investigating, according to the report.
