Girl, 14, Killed on Route 136
Maryland State Police responded to the incident on Harkins Road.
UPDATE (11:26 p.m.)—A 14-year-old Pylesville girl was in a single-vehicle accident on Maryland Thursday, according to a duty officer for the Maryland State Police.

Heather Greer was hit in the 2200 block of Harkins Road in Pylesville, just north of Amos Mill Road, at about 3:30 p.m. She was trying to cross the road, the duty officer said.

Greer was flown by medevac to Maryland Shock Trauma, where she died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
James Landerkin, 34, from Pylesville, was driving a 2009 Toyota Highlander southbound when he struck the girl, the officer said. He was not injured.
