Harford Deputies to Talk Crime Prevention at Greenbrier Shopping Center Thursday

The Harford County Sheriff's Office will send its Mobile Crime Prevention Office to the shopping center near Fountain Green.

After two armed robberies occurred last week in the vicinity of the Greenbrier Shopping Center, the Harford County Sheriff's Office is sending its mobile crime prevention office to Bel Air.

According to sheriff's office spokesman Edward Hopkins, citizens can meet with deputies and talk about crime prevention on Thursday night at the shopping center where on March 20, a man robbed Subway at gunpoint.

That robbery took place at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, and not even 12 hours later, officials believe the same man robbed a Royal Farms nearby on Churchville Road.

Deputies will be at the Greenbrier Shopping Center from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, to talk with the community in the aftermath of the two armed robberies, Hopkins told Patch.

"They will be there primarily to discuss crime prevention, but I anticipate detectives will be there too in case anyone has info about the crimes," Hopkins said.

A third r in Havre de Grace last Friday, is believed to be related, according to officials.
