Hearing Postponed For Bel Air Teen Charged With Sex Offense

Alessandro Lori, 16, is charged with first-degree sex offense and seven related charges in connection with the November assault of a high school girl.

A Bel Air teen indicted on sex offense charges has a March hearing date to determine whether he will be tried as an adult or a juvenile.

of the 800 block of Bridle Path, was indicted Dec. 11 on two counts of first-degree sex offense, two counts of third-degree sex offense and single counts of second-degree sex offense, attempted second-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.

The charges stem from a Nov. 21 incident in Forest Hill.

The juvenile victim told police she was in the basement of a home in the 1900 block of Hill View Drive when a teenage boy with blond hair attacked her in the dark, according to charging documents. She later recognized her alleged attacker as Lori.

The teenage girl accused Lori of pushing her to the ground and ordering her to take off her clothes. When she refused, Lori allegedly flashed a lighter and threatened to burn her face, then pulled out a folding knife. The girl said when she saw the knife, she stopped resisting, according to charging documents.

Lori then allegedly used either the knife or part of his body to sexually assault her, charging documents state.

The teen was slated to be in court for a juvenile waiver hearing Thursday, Feb. 14, but that hearing was postponed, Lori's lawyer, Dennis Cuomo said.

The hearing, which will determine whether Lori will be tried in adult or juvenile court, has been rescheduled for March 15, Cuomo said.
