The charges stem from a series of thefts in Harford County and other jurisdictions, according to a release from Maryland State Police.

In October, troopers from the Bel Air Barrack began investigating a theft of vodka from in the 2000 block of South Fountain Green Road in Bel Air.

The barrack's criminal investigation section picked up the case after noticing a trend of similar thefts in the area, according to police.

Investigators determined the same person was most likely responsible for six thefts in Harford County and a number of similar thefts in other areas, the release states.

Evidence led investigators to believe Brown was responsible for the crimes, according to state police.

Police found Brown on Jan. 30 at a home in Glen Burnie where they took him into custody.

Brown was being held at the Tuesday evening.
