Joppa Crime: Twitter Insults Lead To Fight

Joppa Farm Road, 500 block, 8:05 a.m. on Feb. 19. A fight that began on Twitter resulted in assault charges for two Joppatowne High School students. A 16-year-old and 14-year-old were charged with second-degree assault and distrubance of school operations following the fight in a first floor hallway. Police said despite a number of punches thrown, no injuries were reported, and both teenagers were released to their guardians. Police said the altercation was initiated with insults on Twitter beginning on Feb. 15.

Fort Hoyle Road, 200 block, 12:32 p.m. on Feb. 15. Police assisted with a disturbance reported at Magnolia Middle School. A 12-year-old student was removed from the cafeteria by school staff for being disrespectful to a staff member.

Pulaski Highway, 1300 block, 12:28 a.m. on Feb. 15. Police said a middle-aged man was observed masturbating while looking into a victim's window. The man was described as a 6-foot, 2-inch tall white man with an average build, having a thin beard, wire frame glasses and long, dark brown hair. The female victim, who reported the case to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct, said the man was also wearing a blue winter hat and blue coat.
