Man Loses 3 Fingers in Jarrettsville Concrete Grinder Accident

Police responded to the incident on Cooptown Road Saturday morning.

Emergency crews responded to an injured worker in Jarrettsville Saturday morning.

Before 10 a.m. on Sept. 22, a 26-year-old man in the 1300 block of Cooptown Road was operating a concrete grinder when his hand got caught in the machine. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital where three of his fingers were amputated. He also received cuts to his leg, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
