'No Foul Play' In Bel Air Death, Police Say

A Bel Air man was found dead outside his apartment in June, and police and the medical examiner have ruled no foul play was involved in the death.

The body of Titus Onuoha was found in the 800 block of Old English Court on June 14.

Onuoha's wife, Joy Onuoha, said detectives told her that her husband suffered trauma to the back of his head and neck, and she believed at the time that her husband met a violent end.

The report from the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner, however, indicates Onuoha's death was caused by a medical issue.

"There were no signs of foul play," Sgt. Jim Lockard with the Bel Air Police Department said. "His death appears to be medical."

Lockard said the case has been closed based on the medical examiner's report.

Joy Onuoha said in a previous interview her husband's neighbor heard a commotion coming from his apartment hours before police were called to the scene.

"We did talk to somebody who had heard a noise, but when we went back to them, they said 'oh maybe we didn't,'" Lockard said, adding, "If you have a guy that’s six-foot, 260 pounds you’re probably going to hear a noise."
