Overturned Truck Spills Fuel, Breaks Water Main
The incident occurred in a Bel Air South community.
UPDATE (5:21 p.m.)—A truck carrying gravel overturned early Tuesday afternoon, breaking a water main on Rolling Road in Bel Air, according to a resident in the community. There was also a diesel fill spill according to an emergency services official.
Angela DeBrigida said a truck for Jerry Preston's Hauling was delivering a load of gravel for her neighbor's landscaping project when it got stuck in the front yard, overturned and landed on the water main.
DeBrigida said the landscaping was not related to and that her neighborhood had power restored around 11 p.m., Monday. But now the Bel Air South community has another problem.

"The dump truck was taking crushed stone, and he ran over water main on soft ground," Monica Worrell said. "There was gushing water. … Hazmat [and] MDE got called out."
Volunteer fire companies "controlled large quantity of diesel spilled" from the truck, according to Rich Gardiner, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS spokesman.
Worrell confirmed there were no injuries.
A voicemail left with the hauling company's owner, Jerry Preston, was not returned.
