Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle In Abingdon

The incident took place shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday.

UPDATE (6:10 p.m.)—A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the Abingdon area Thursday night, but few details were immediately available.

The incident took place in the area of MD Route 924 and Woodsdale Road, according to a dispatcher with the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack.

A man in his twenties sustained minor injuries in the accident, Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association, said.

Troopers arrived at the scene minutes before 6 p.m. to investigate. No further details were available as of post time.

Is that the road going into Boxhill? My husband and I were driving north on 924 around that time . There was a young guy around 20ish riding his bicycle in the median just in front of Wendys. I wasa little startled because he couldn't be seen till we were right beside him. I said to my husband, that I hoped he didn't get hit because he had nothing reflective on his clothes.. I hope he's ok
