Pedestrian Killed by Car in Edgewood

Police said the man killed had no identification on him.

A pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday in Edgewood, according to police.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company (JMVFC) responded at 1:03 am Saturday to state Route 24 between Edgewood Road and Trimble Road.

Units arrived at 1:05 am to find a single vehicle that had struck a pedestrian.  The adult male pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:08 am, police said.

The pedestrian had no identification on him, police said.

The woman driving the vehicle was taken  to the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air with minor injuries, police said.

The road was closed for about three hours for an investigation.
