Pedestrian Struck, Dies on I-95 Near Joppa

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died on I-95 near the Mountain Road exit Wednesday morning.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on I-95 near the Mountain Road exit on Wednesday morning, according to a statement from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At around 11 a.m., a vehicle struck a pedestrian, not yet identified, on the shoulder of northbound I-95, between exit 74 and the Mountain Road overpass. Responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead shortly thereafter.

Maryland State Police are handling the investigation of the incident.
