Police: Racist Vandalism, Marijuana at C. Milton Wright, Drunk Driving at Dark Horse

Recent crimes as handled by local police.

March 1, 9:30 a.m. Police said they found marijuana between the center console and passenger seat of a C. Milton Wright student's car during a K9 drug scan Tuesday.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with Harford County Public Schools, was conducting a scan of the school and parking lot when the drug was discovered in a white, two-door Acura. Police say the student is a 17-year-old senior boy. The student told police he did not know where the marijuana came from. The boy was charged with possession of marijuana and disruption of school operation.

Feb. 27, 1:39 a.m. A 24-year-old Bel Air woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. Police say Stephanie Marie Tardif of the 900 block of Felicia Court drove her car into three parked vehicles in the Dark Horse Saloon parking lot.

Feb. 20, 9:03 a.m. A vehicle in the 1100 block of Seaford Court was vandalized with racial remarks. Police say soap was used to scrawl "KKK," a racial epithet and to draw a penis. The victim told police "no African -Americans" live at the home and it was not perceived as a hate crime.

Feb. 16, 5:26 p.m. A 42-year-old Street man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. Michael Davis Gerlach of the 1300 block of Macton Road was charged as a result of a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Whiteford Road in Darlington.

Feb. 16, 4:51 p.m.  A 56-year-old Forest Hill woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. Lynne Marie Gryctz of the 2300 block of Rock Spring Road was charged as a result of a traffic stop at Hess Road and Maryland Route 152.
