Cops on Bikes Coming Through! Police Unity Tour to Stop in Harford County

Bicyclists will place a wreath at the precinct to fallen officers.

More than 100 bicyclists will pedal through Harford County Sunday morning to honor law enforcement officers who have lost their lives.

The stop at the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff's Office is scheduled as part of the annual Police Unity Tour, a campaign with the slogan "We Ride for Those Who Died."

In the span of four days, law enforcement personnel are biking 280 miles from Philadelphia to Washington, DC, to raise awareness about the sacrifices police make nationwide, according to a statement from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Approximately 114 bicyclists riding from Delaware and Maryland will put a wreath at the base of the law enforcement officers' memorial in Edgewood on Sunday morning, the statement said.

The Police Unity Tour ride concludes on Monday in Washington, DC, where approximately 1,700 bicyclists will meet at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, according to the statement.

The unity tour riders will visit the Harford County Sheriff's Office Southern Precinct at 1305 Pulaski Highway at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 11.
