POLICE: Woman Assaults Stepson, 12; Bel Air High, Courtland Hardware Thefts

Recent crimes handled by the Bel Air Police Department.

Incidents are based on reports from the .

Commerce Road, 2200 block, 10 a.m., April 2. Pallets were stolen from Courtland Hardware.

Baltimore Pike, 600 block, 6:21 p.m., March 30. A 2011 Hyundai Genesis was “keyed” outside of . The incident caused about $500 in damage, according to police.

South Atwood Road, Intersection of South Bond Street and Baltimore Pike, 11:18 a.m., March 30. A 40-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was struck by a Fallston man’s vehicle. Leonard Medders Stanley of the 1400 block of Philadelphia Road was driving an unregistered pickup truck when he was struck by Thomas V. Stern Jr. of the 1400 block of Fox Gap Court, according to police.

Baltimore Pike, 600 block, 9:02 p.m., March 29. An assistant manager at told police her wallet was stolen, possibly by another employee. Charges appeared on one of her credit cards from at about 8:05 p.m. that night.

Heighe Street, 100 block, 12:18 p.m., March 29. A male student at was detained for stealing $45 from another student.

East Ellendale Street, unit block, March 29. A 12-year-old boy was assaulted by his stepmother, who slapped him in the face “several” times and shoved him twice, according to police. The incident is under investigation.

Courtland Street, unit block, March 26, 11 a.m. Two men and a woman accused of breaking into Maryland Recovery Partners were arrested and charged with trespassing on private property and fourth-degree burglary. Melissa Marie Rich, 20, of the unit block of Hancock Drive in Morristown, NJ, Zachary Sebastian Morin, 19, of the 200 block of Melrose Court in Forest Hill and Austin Ryan Teague, 21, of the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Drive in Forest Hill, were all charged.
