2 Hospitalized after Hanson Road Crash

The crash was reported before 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

A woman and her child passenger were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in serious but stable condition after a crash in Edgewood Friday morning, Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

The two-vehicle crash on Hanson Road at Court Square Drive was reported at 8:23 a.m., according to Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which reported the woman was trapped in her car.

Joppa-Magnolia firefighters used the jaws of life to get her out, and "within ten minutes, the mangled metal was peeled away from the injured patient," according to the report.

The driver of the second vehicle refused medical transport, Joppa-Magnolia said.

The road was closed for one hour, delaying some school buses, according to the report.

Joppa-Magnolia said that the Harford County Sheriff's Office was investigating the cause of the crash.
