Woman Injured in Cement Truck Crash Near Pylesville

The crash was reported around 10 a.m. Monday.

A two-vehicle crash involving a cement truck trapped one person and shut down an intersection near Pylesville Monday morning, according to Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company.

The fire company reported that the two-vehicle crash occurred on Whiteford Road at Rocks Road and heavily entrapped one person.

A woman in a passenger vehicle was seriously injured when her car was crushed by the cement truck, according to WBAL TV, which reported the cement truck driver was not harmed.

A Maryland State Police helicopter reportedly took the woman to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.

The fire company advised Monday morning: "The road will be shut down for an extended amount of time."
