Rock the House: Police Break Up Party at Historic Home

No alcohol or damage was found on the property.

were called to the historic Rockfield Manor house at about 10 p.m. April 30 to break up an out-of-control Sweet 16 birthday party.

Chief of Police Leo Matrangola said a number of uninvited guests showed up to the party planned by a 16-year-old boy’s uncle. The house manager shut the party down and called police for assistance clearing the property.

“Police arrived at the manager’s request to help close down the party and they observed several youth fighting on the lawn,” Matrangola wrote in an email. “Many of the teens ran from the police. No victim or suspects were located, no alcohol or damage [was] found.”

Police remained on the premises for an hour after the party dispersed to notify parents about why it ended.
