Route 22 Partially Closed at Thomas Run for Accident

The road is expected to be closed only "briefly" while a patient is flown out.

UPDATE (6 p.m.)—An accident that occurred about 5 p.m. has closed one lane Maryland Route 22 at Thomas Run Road.

One person is being flown to Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

A dispatcher for the Maryland State Police said the road will remain closed briefly so that "fire equipment" can access the scene. He added that traffic is "crawling by" as of 6 p.m.

No other details were available.

Does anyone know the status of the child? So sad. There was a rumor that the "baby" wasn't in a car seat. I hope that isn't true. There are many accidents at this location.
