Route 24 In Abingdon Closed After Tuesday Night Crash

One person was flown to a regional trauma center for treatment.

Two people were injured in an evening crash in Abingdon that temporarily closed Maryland Route 24 to northbound traffic, fire officials said.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a car crash took place on Route 24 in the area of Singer Road, according to an official Facebook post from Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

One person was flown by medevac helicopter to a regional trauma center for treatment while a second was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, Gardiner wrote.
