Edgewood Man Sought, Suspected of Shooting Sister Saturday

Suspected gunman Keef Devon Alfonso Burley, 20, is considered armed and dangerous, said the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

An armed man is on the loose after allegedly shooting and injuring his 18-year-old sister in Edgewood Saturday night, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Sunday.

On Dec. 29, the woman and her mother had been involved in a family argument with Keef Devon Alfonso Burley, 20, and asked him to leave their home on the 1800 block of Grempler Way when the tension mounted, The Aegis first reported.

As the mother and daughter were closing the front door just before 11:15 p.m., Burley pulled out a gun and shot through the door, striking the 18-year-old in the lower back, said Edward Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Hopkins said that one shot was fired.

According to court records, Burley also resided on the 1800 block of Grempler Way in Edgewood as recently as November, after he was indicted on multiple drug charges, including intent to distribute narcotics. The sheriff's office said that Burley reportedly did not live with his mother and sister.

Burley is described as a 20-year-old African-American male who is 5'10" and 140 pounds. Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Keef Devon Alfonso Burley should contact the Southern Precinct at 410-612-1717 or the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 410-836-5429.
