Suspect Sought in Monday's Edgewood Shooting

A warrant for an Edgewood man's arrest has been issued in connection with the shooting.

 

A 27-year-old Edgewood man is being sought on charges of attempted murder in connection with a shooting on Monday, authorities said.

Neal Aaron Turner, 27, of the 1800 block of Brookside Drive in Edgewood, allegedly shot another Edgewood man on Monday, police said. A warrant for his arrest on first-degree attempted murder charges has been issued, according to a release from the .

Deputies said they were called to the 1700 block of Fountain Rock Way in Edgewood at around 4:15 p.m. after gunshots were fired in the area.

When they arrived, deputies said they found Emmanuel Obguli, 22, of the 1800 block of Eloise Lane in Edgewood, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.

Investigators said they believe Obguli and Turner were involved in an argument that turned physical and involved several other people.

After he was shot, Obguli was flown by medevac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he was listed in serious but stable condition Tuesday evening.
