Suspicious Fallston Incident Yields Bank Lock-Down

Police say no crime was committed, but searched the area as a precaution.

Madison Square Federal Savings Bank locked its doors Monday afternoon after a suspicious incident at the business.

On Monday morning, tellers at the bank noticed a man they deemed suspicious walk toward the bank and locked the doors before he could come inside, Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesman Edward Hopkins said.

The bank employees asked the man to use the drive-thru, but he left instead, Hopkins said. Hopkins was not sure why the bank employees felt the man was suspicious.

"You have to trust their intuition," Hopkins said.

The bank, located at 2209 Belair Road in Fallston, has been the victim of robbery in the past.

"They’re probably more sensitive to it," Hopkins said.

Deputies searched the nearby area as a precaution, but could not find the man.

"We don’t even have an attempted bank robbery at this point," Hopkins said.

the man that was walking up to the building was the man that robbed that bank 2010 and they recognized him.

Pretty sure a guy with a hoodie and a surgical mask would certainly raise more than a few red flags too. Sounds like Hopkins CLEARLY knows everything about everyone. Smh. If I were one I those employees I would be highly offended and pissed by this article.

This was an attempted bank robbery at Madison Square in Fallston. There is an inter door that is only open if a buzzer is pushed. That allow tellers and managers to deside. on risk acessment. Look like the same gun from earlier robbery, drawing from Post Office fit the guy that tried to rob Maddison Sqaure on Monday. Now anyother bank has been rob at gun point in Street????
