Teen Charged with Attempted Murder in Edgewood Assault

Deputies say Andre Jordan was in a fight then fired a gun at a bystander.

An Edgewood teen has been arrested and charged as an adult following a Monday assault.

Andre Darez Jordan, 15, of the 1800 block of Graymount Way, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and firearm violations, according to a Harford County Sheriff's Office release.

Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Grempler Way at 8:05 p.m. Monday for a shooting report. There, deputies found a 15-year-old boy who had been grazed by a bullet. The boy told deputies he was walking with friends when he saw two people fighting on Grempler Way, according to the release.

Deputies say Jordan, one of the two fighting, pulled a gun from his pocket and fired at the teen. The victim was treated at the scene.

Jordan, who was arrested Tuesday evening, remains held in Harford County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
