I passed this accident right after it happened. Looked like there was an SUV who hit another smaller vehicle and had it pinned against the stone wall. Hope everyone is ok.

Really. Said Accident happened shortly before 1 pm and it is recorded here at 1:26 pm. Give it up and worry about the content of the article!

I want to know if one car was trying to turn left from Moores Mill, and hit someone coming straight across Rt 22 to Moore's Mill. I have witnessed and/or been involved with so many near misses at that intersection! For some reason, the Moore's Mill side thinks it has the right of way to turn left!!

Hate to say it but this was an accident between an 18 year old and an eighty year old. An inexperienced driver and one that probably shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. When will we as a society begin testing our golden age citizens regularly to ensure that they are still able to safely operate a vehicle. Perhaps when we do tragic accidents like this one can be avoided. Maybe it wasn't her fault, but if it wasn't, perhaps a younger driver would've had the reflexes to avoid the accident.

Rules of the road change and as we get older, I agree, we ought to be given a drivers test along with the eye test as we renew our driver's licenses. My heart goes out to all involved in this accident (which we don't know the exact cause). By the look of the car, the injuries must be extensive.

@ Annie - The article says the accident happened before 1 p.m. so reporting on it around 26 minutes later isn't good enough for you? Cut some slack!

I work in that exact shopping center and went into work around 1 that day. sat at that light and had to go around to get into the shopping center for work. looked to me like the car was turned right out of the shopping center and the suv was going straight. whos to say whose fault it was though. either the suv ran the red light or the car turned too soon. but like i said...whose to say what happened? i wanna know who else was injured. still havent heard from someone i know around there.... :/

oh and it looked like the suv hit right at the drivers side and pinned it against the wall, like "tradewinds" said. one of the girls i work with was keeping an eye out and said something about the car catching on fire shortly after it happened :/

The driver of the Subaru is doing better. Thankfully somewhat minor injuries. Thanks for the concern. father
