Victim of Cannibalism To Be Buried

Alexander Kinyua, age 21, allegedly told detectives that he killed Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, cut him up with a knife before hiding body parts in his basement.

Family and friends of Agyei-Kodie, age 37, held a memorial service in his honor over the weekend in Middle River, according to a CBS.com report.

“The Lord knows why this happened and the Bible says everything happens for a reason, so why do we use this act to shape life in the future? We shouldn’t do that,” family friend Thomas Mwaura was quoted as saying in the CBS.com report.

The same story states the family has set up a fund to help cover burial costs.

Agyei-Kodie will be laid to rest on July 7 at Church of Christ Park in Bomso, Ghana, according to a story on The Baltimore Sun.

He was sent to Clifton Perkins Hospital by an order from Judge Susan Hazlett, according to the statement from the state's attorney. Kinyua's attorney initially requested a competency evaluation before the indictment was handed down.
