Andy Harris Visits Bel Air

Andy Harris is a Republican representing a portion of Harford County in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Bel Air Town Hall was filled to capacity Tuesday evening for an open forum question and answer session with U.S. Rep. Andy Harris.

The meeting room at 39 N. Hickory Avenue was at standing room only with the maximum 115 people packed inside it.

Harris, a Republican whose district includes portions of Harford and Cecil County, answered questions from the audience for about two hours.

Harford Young Dems were tweeting from inside the meeting, providing updates on the conversation which covered a variety of topics including sequestration, immigration and health care reform.

"We have got to get health care right, and the government running health care is not the way to do it," Harris said, according to an ExploreHarford.com report.

A number of people arrived after the meeting room was full and while some waited in hopes that space would become available, others left right away. Several people stuck outside said a larger space should have been used.
