Bel Air's Sewer Rate Increase: Town Meeting Agenda
Student and employee recognitions, Rockfield Manor restrooms and other items are on the agenda.
To keep up with the "substantial increase" that Harford County is charging to treat sewage, the town of Bel Air is proposing an increase to its sewer service rate calculation. Officials said the change would amount to an average of $3.79 per quarter for residents between the rate increase and the base charge.
The increase is to take effect Feb. 10 but before then, citizens may weigh in on the issue at the town meeting. There is a public hearing on the issue on Jan. 21. See the proposed legislation to amend the sewer service rate and find out what else is on the agenda, below.
The following agenda was posted on the Town of Bel Air website.
