Council Preview: One-Year Site Plan Extension Could be Coming

The council will vote on amendments to the zoning code.

There are three items scheduled to garner a public hearing and a vote at Tuesday's County Council meeting. A zoning code correction and a pair of adjustments to the Chesapeake Bay Critical Overlay District will bring the town in compliance with state regulations. The votes are part of the .

There is also a bill up for introduction that would grant a one-year site plan extension to eligible projects. From the time they are approved, site plans have a two-year initiation window before the approval process is reset. This bill would allow planning and zoning officials to grant site plans a one-year extension. A vote on the bill is expected in April.

The County Council is also expected to recognize three Harford Living Treasures, among other presentations, and make a pair of appointments to the Towing Appeals Board and the Citizens Budget Advisory Board.
