County Seeks Restaurant Week Participants

The annual promotion starts June 3.

Harford County's restaurant week is coming back for a fourth annual helping.

In an announcement last week, county officials said they're looking for restaurants interested in participating in the June 3 to 15 promotion.

Owners and managers of interested restaurants are asked to call county tourism and marketing manager Wini Roche at 410-638-3059 or email wjroche@harfordcountymd.gov for more information. All restaurants must be a county tourism partner and provide a $25 gift card to be used as a contest prize.

A list of participating restaurants will be available online by mid-May, according to the announcement.

For 2014's restaurant week, changes include price flexibility, according to the county. Two of the prix fixe meals must start at $20.13 plus tax and gratuity, but this year, restaurants may offer higher price points.

The contest—to which the restaurants will be contributing gift cards—will be run on social media platforms.

Roche said that participating businesses typically see business jump 10 to 15 percent during the June promotion.
