County's Public Budget Session Scheduled for Late January

County Executive David Craig will host a budget session for the fiscal year 2012 budget on Jan. 20.

There will be a public hearing for the Harford County fiscal year 2012 budget on Jan. 20 at Joppatowne High School. 

County Executive David Craig will host the hearing, which will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.  

"The purpose of the budget hearing is to hear from the people of Harford County as to what they would like to see funded in the FY '12 budget," Craig said in a statement.

Members of Craig's cabinet and county budget officials will also be present at the session. 

Those wishing to speak during the hearing are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes in advance to sign in. Individuals are allotted three minutes to express their opinions while anyone representing a group or organization is given five minutes.

The budget, which will be worked on between January and March, is scheduled to be presented to the Harford County Council on April 1.
