Craig Asks O'Malley To Meet On School Funding

David Craig wrote Gov. Martin O'Malley to question state funding for Harford County Public Schools.

Harford County Executive David Craig said he would like to meet with the governor to discuss why Harford County Public Schools will receive the biggest cut in funding of any municipality in this year's budget.

Craig submitted a letter to Gov. Martin O'Malley—a copy of which is published here—to discuss public school funding.

The initial proposal calls for Harford County to receive $12.9 million in state funding for school projects. Craig said that figure represents more than a $4 million cut from last year's funding.
