Former Commissioner Hanley Has Tuesday Court Appearance

Terence Hanley is scheduled to appear in court in a legal dispute with Harford Bank over a loan.

Former Bel Air Commissioner is scheduled to appear in  at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday for a dispute with over a $570,000 loan.

The  Harford Bank that Hanley’s company, Hanley Investments LLC, defaulted on the loan that was issued in December 2009. The money was to be used to build houses in the 1000 block of Oak Street in Bel Air.

The bank contends , his company and his wife Debra defaulted on the loan because interest on the loan went unpaid for four consecutive months between November 2010 and February 2011, according to court documents.

Hanley  contends that a payment of more than $30,000 was made to the bank, but was never credited.

Hanley agreed in July that he must pay the loan—which was due in full by December, according to its terms—but not that he defaulted.

He lost his seat as a Bel Air commissioner in the November election.
