Harford County Government Reopens Thursday

Liberal leave will be in effect for county employees.

Harford County Government will reopen Thursday after three days of closures in the wake of what once was Hurricane Sandy.

The county announced the opening in a release Wednesday afternoon.

"We appreciate the patience and understanding of our citizens and employees during the past few days while county government was closed as a result of Hurricane Sandy,” said County Executive Craig in the release. "Our focus has been the restoration and recovery of Harford County following the impact Hurricane Sandy made on our community."

Liberal leave will be in effect Thursday for all county employees.

The state of emergency for Harford County is scheduled to lift at 5 p.m. Wednesday, the release states.
