Harford County To Name New Emergency Operations Manager

A press conference announcing the appointment is scheduled to take place Thursday afternoon.

Harford County Executive David Craig is expected to name a new manager of Thursday.

The new appointee will replace current emergency operations manager Brian Feist.

Feist, , is leaving in August to pursue a business opportunity in Cambria County, PA, said Harford County Government spokesman Bob Thomas. Feist's salary is $105,000.

Before Feist, the position of emergency operations manager was held for about 10 years by Ernie Crist.

The search for Feist's replacement began about a month ago.

"We’re basically working from the existing appointment list that was created in the Fall of 2010 and had not expired," Thomas said.

The county executive, along with plan to announce the new emergency operations manager at a press conference at 1 p.m. Thursday in the second floor conference room of the county administration building located at 220 South Main Street.
