O'Malley May Visit Harford 'House Of Cards' Set

Gov. Martin O'Malley was expected to visit Harford County this week, but a scheduling conflict prevented it.

The Netflix original series "House of Cards" is shooting in Harford County, and Gov. Martin O'Malley may visit the set before they close up shop.

The first season of the political thriller series starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Penn Wright is being produced in Harford County.

The 13-episode series entitled "House of Cards" is considered Netflix's first original drama. Media Rights Capital and Netflix agreed to base production out of Harford County.

O'Malley was initially expected to visit the set in Joppa Tuesday afternoon, according to his public schedule. The event was later pulled from his schedule.

"He had a scheduling conflict," Raquel Guillory, a spokeswoman for O'Malley, said Monday.

Guillory said they are working to reschedule the visit.
