Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

Mr. President, when running for the Presdiency four years ago you said we had the worst economy since the great Depression. With less people working now than when you came into office, with the number of people collecting food stamps going up by 50% under your leadership, with only 50% of recent collgege grads finding jobs within their major, and with our debt going up by over $1 Trillion each of the past four years, why do you deserve another term?

With the present state of cultural diversity in our country when will we remove race from applications? Since biracial children are forced to define themselves by race.

Why are we spending millions of dollars over seas taking care of other countries when we can't take care of our own? What happened to charity begins at home? We spend millions to feed other countries when we don't have enough soup kitchens to feed our own veterans. How many have been left homeless with all the foreclosures? Where do you think those people went to? How many people are just barely hanging on in this country while we watch the rich get richer? Why can't I go to the store and find anything that says made in the USA? If you want my vote I need real solutions to real problems?

This is specific to Romney. You have on several occasions said you will cut the tax rate but eliminate certian write-offs and deductions. Which ones specifically do you plan to eliminate at this time and if you have not determined that what criteria would you use?
