Public To Review Bicycle, Pedestrian Plan Next Month

Harford County's Bicycle and Pedestrian master plan will be up for review in January.

Harford County residents will have an opportunity to chime in on a new master plan for bicycling and pedestrian travel early in 2013.

The county announced in a statement Friday that the plan will be up for public review in early January.

The plan will be made available online. For more information on the steps leading up to the plan's development, read here.

The statement noted that the master plan "is an important step in helping Harford County become a truly multi-modal community by identifying needed facilities and presenting actions for implementation."

The statement went on to say the plan would make for "a healthier community."

An open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 16 in the second floor conference room at the County Administrative Building at 220 S. Main Street in Bel Air.

Public comment will also be accepted online through Jan. 31.

Yes! I would like to Walk AND Bike more often. Those options are not mutually exclusive, but mutually inclusive!
