Town Meeting Preview: Police Holiday, Avoiding Sprawl

Bel Air Patch will cover the Bel Air Board of Commissioners meeting tonight.

There are three pieces of new business and a number of announcements on the town meeting agenda for tonight.

Two policies, one for signing checks and the other for a police holiday, are scheduled to come before the Bel Air Board of Commissioners for discussion and approval.

An endorsement of the town's application to the state of Maryland to be designated a is also on the agenda.

"Smart growth concentrates new development and redevelopment in areas that have existing or planned infrastructure to avoid sprawl," according to the state Department of Planning web site.
