Town Meeting Preview: National Anthem, Recognitions, Ordinance Introductions

Four individuals are scheduled to be honored at tonight's town meeting.

Bel Air High School student Abigail Dempsey will open Monday's meeting by singing the national anthem—hopefully better than Christina Aguilera did before the Super Bowl. Dempsey will then be a student recognition honoree. Her , and two town employees will also be recognized.

Two ordinances are scheduled to be introduced to the Board of Commissioners—one involving the International Building Code and another that could lower sewer costs for a select number of town residents.

A reappointment to the tree committee and a discussion of the town's fiscal year 2010 audit, which yielded a "clean opinion," are also part of new businesss.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in town hall.
