Town Meeting Preview: Vote on Small as Planning Director, FY2011 Budget Cut

There are two significant votes before the Board of Commissioners for Monday.

The highlight of Monday's town meeting will be the potential appointment of Tom Small as the next planning director. Small accepted the position Feb. 25, as first reported by Patch, and would replace Carol Deibel, who retired Dec. 30. Senior Planner Bob Syphard has been serving as the interim director.

A $103,000 fiscal year 2011 budget adjustment is scheduled to be up for vote. For all the proposed changes, see the attached document.

The town is also scheduled to honor Caroline Weimer of Southampton Middle School and recognize a town employee for her efforts.
