Bel Air Rolls Out Interactive New Website

One town commissioner said he hopes it will be more intuitive.

The Town of Bel Air launched a new website this week that officials hope will be more engaging and interactive than the old format.

Still located at the www.belairmd.org address, the website was given a redesign by government website provider CivicPlus.

"The town has been working with CivicPlus for several months, and we are all very satisfied with the end result," Robert Reier, chair of the Board of Town Commissioners, said.

New features include "Notify me," which allows residents to sign up for mobile phone notifications about jobs, alerts, news flashes, calendar items and agendas.

Users can also click "Submit a Request" to communicate with town officials and track the status of their submissions.

“We hope to engage our residents and visitors in a more interactive fashion and provide a more intuitive method of finding the information..." Reier said.

The website went live on Tuesday.
