Double Duty: Board Holding Two Meetings Monday Night

The Board of Education is holding a regular business meeting and the final redistricting hearing Monday night.

Monday night's Board of Education meeting will start early, at 5 p.m., to make time for the final redistricting hearing at 7:30 p.m. in the . 

The regular business meeting has six items on the consent agenda, including affirmation of monthly contract awards, the monthly report on personnel, minutes of previous meetings and decisions on appeal case results, a contract award for school buses and upgraded lights for outdoor tennis and basketball courts at Havre de Grace High School

The board will also be presented with a legislative update and a revised policy.

After the board meeting there will be a closed session from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. and then the redistricting session will last from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The hearing will be the last one before the board votes on the elementary redistricting plan at a business meeting on Feb. 28.

Those wishing to speak at the hearing will need to fill out comment cards prior to its start and are limited to three minutes each.
