FOOTBALL: Hawks Topple Eagles, Cougars Still Unbeaten

Patch updates scores from UCBAC football games from Friday night.

Here are the scores as compiled by Patch staff from the coaches:

FINAL» North Harford 38, 12: The Hawks rushed for 305 yards. Ryan Stinar rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another and the Hawks improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.

"They were just better tonight," Aberdeen coach Johnny Brooks said. "They did the job in what we have to work on—discipline."

A blocked punt by the Hawks resulted in a recovery in the endzone for a touchdown with 7:52 left in the third quarter, and North Harford used that momentum to carry the early start to victory.

Aberdeen (4-1 overall, 0-1 UCBAC Chesapeake Division) had a pair of long touchdowns on similar plays—screen passes from Kenny Faulcon to Chavez Cheatem for 72 yards and 69 yards. Penalties hurt the Eagles, as did a Faulcon interception—which came as the Eagles were driving at the North Harford 25-yard line with 21 seconds left in the third.
