Harford School Board to Shuffle Funds for Stormwater Violations

The Harford County Board of Education is meeting Monday, June 10.

When the Harford County Board of Education meets Monday night, it will have to do some math. That's because the school system owes a quarter of a million dollars in stormwater violations, according to this report from its budget office.

Approximately 13 sites within the school system were cited by Harford County government for non-compliance with stormwater regulations, the report states. It will cost at least $250,000 to correct the major violations, according to the report.

In its proposal, the school system's budget office suggested transferring a quarter of a million dollars from utilities, which was over budget due to the mild winter, to make the corrections.
