Harford County Public Schools Delay Opening Tuesday

On Tuesday, Harford County Public Schools will open two hours later than usual.

Morning prekindergarten is canceled.

"Conditions will then be reevaluated," Joe Licata, chief of administration for Harford County Public Schools, reported Tuesday morning.

Specifically, the school system will reassess the situation in two hours, according to an announcement posted just before 5:15 a.m.

A wintry mix coated roads overnight, when Harford County was under a winter weather advisory. According to unofficial snow totals from the National Weather Service, 1.3 inches of snow accumulated in Darlington as of 5:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Cecil County Public Schools will also open two hours late.
