Harford County Public Schools Makes Weather Decision

The school system made the announcement Thursday afternoon.

Citing the "impending snow storm," Harford County Public Schools officials canceled all after-school and evening activities on Thursday, Jan. 2.

That includes the Alternative Education Twilight Program, other school-sponsored activities and events held on school property, according to a statement from the school system.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Harford County and the Baltimore-Washington region, effective from 6 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. Bel Air may get up to five inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
